Remember
a Bed & Breakfast is a private home in which you are a
guest - not a hotel.
Your hosts still have to go to the shops, visit the dentist,
get a haircut (none of which can be done on the doorstep in
this remote area) and have a life in the small community in
which they live. There will naturally be restrictions as to
entry and exit times for new arrivals & guests checking
out. Very often the only free time in a day for
your hosts is 2-4pm.
We
like to feel our guests are house guests sharing our home.
This assumes a level of responsibility on the part of our
guests, along with a little independence. We are available
to help but not on demand 24/7 !
Communication
is always very welcome. Please do ring or make contact to
discuss your requirements ahead of arrival. Pre planning is
so essential here as any supplies can be a long way away
down single track roads or only arrive in the village once
a week.
Popular
guests arrive between 4-6pm having advised us about any food
requirements ahead of arrival. They communicate their needs
regarding evening meals (here or locally) and breakfasts whilst
we get to know each other. Become reasonably self contained
when here, using the information pack, books and maps available
to good effect. Have a good chat at breakfasts and give us
an idea of their informed plans having studied the weather
forecast provided and based on length of stay in the area.
They depart by 10.30am on the day of departure.
