We have stayed in many different styles of
accommodation all over the world and base what we do here
on the best of our experiences. Bed and Breakfast after all
is about really comfortable beds and a satisfying tasty breakfast!
We joined the Visit Scotland Tourist Board
quality assurance scheme in 2007. Every aspect of the welcome,
food, cleanliness and accommodation is marked out of 5 in
each of over 40 categories. One has to achieve an overall
score of between 70 - 84% to qualify for a 4 Star award, with
no area falling below par.
We were awarded a 4 star grade on entry to
the quality assurance scheme with an overall score of 81%.
This was done by an incognito inspector posing as guest to
experience his stay from guests's perspective. We have maintained
these standards ever since, consisently getting top marks
for cleanliness. By 2010 we had built up to the highest marks
possible within a 4 star award.
You
can be assured of cleanliness along with quality and comfort
here at Aurora.
Green Tourism Business Scheme
In 2010 after 2 years of working towards an
assesment we were given a GOLD level award. One of only 8
B&B's in the whole of the Highland region to be awarded
the highest level and the only B&B on hte West Coast to
achieve this.
We strive to reduce our
CO2 emmissions, thus reducing the environmental impact of
your travels.
