Breakfast

Breakfast is cooked to order for you each day using local produce and served at a large communal table 8 - 9.30am. We can provide a 7.30am breakfast on request and for those with really early starts we will provide a simple uncooked breakfast.

Don't forget to put in your order for porridge as we soak it overnight to make it creamy & smooth, even though the only added ingredient is water. We have introduced many people to porridge who leave planning to make it a habit!

Example of a Breakfast menu :

* Fresh tea - English, Earl Grey, Green or Fruit teas (mostly organic & Fairtrade)

* Coffee - medium roast, Fair Trade

* Fresh fruit juice - the apple is local

* Porridge, homemade muesli or a choice of 3 other organic cereals

* Natural Yoghurt -home made

* Fresh half grapefruit or fresh fruit

* Cooked Breakfast - you get to choose exactly what you would like from :

Bacon, Venison sausage, Haggis slice, Baked beans, Tomato and Eggs**

* Toast with Homemade preserves

Or For a lighter meal why not try:

Toast, spread with Crowdie (Scottish cream cheese), topped with local smoked salmon and served with a wedge of lemon. You could add scrambled egg for a larger meal.

If the ingredients are on the menu we can cook almost any combination you like.

** We aim to use free range eggs, organic when possible. All produce is subject to availability!

Many thanks to all our hard working local producers - Roddy butcher, West Highland Dairy, Wester Ross Fisheries, Loch Torridon Smoke House. Thanks also to Highland Wholefoods, Williamsons, Tore Farm shop, The Torridon and Graham's Dairy.

A detailed weather forecast is put on the table each morning and we are very happy to help guests to decide on their activities for the day so you can tap into local knowledge. There are so many options available such as gentle coastal walks, classic mountain trails, sightseeing, photography, wildlife, arts & crafts or gastronomic experiences.
