We love good food and cooking. Our philosophy
is to use good quality, local, organic (where possible) fresh
produce and cook it simply and seasonally. We believe in slow
and ethical food, minimal food miles and even grow some of
our own produce. There is a wealth of good food in the Highlands
to choose from. Most of our ingredients are sourced within
a 70 mile radius of us. If we have a choice, we go for the
more ethical option eg. RSPCA monitored salmon or eggs.
Breakfasts are served in the architect designed
dining room, around a large communal table so that people
can meet & exchange ideas.
Just let us know (in advance please) if you
require packed lunches. Or if you prefer to provide your own
we will happily equip you with a chopping board & knives
so you can make your lunches at the dining table. There is
a fridge on the landing for you to keep your own ingredients
fresh.
There are plenty of food options in the area. At the height of summer there are many award winning pubs & restaurants open. Seafood is a specialty of the area. You may find that food options tend to finish slightly earlier throughout the Highlands at around 8.30pm. End of October to Easter fewer eateries are open.
New guests arriving between 4 - 6 pm are offered
tea or coffee, served in the living room to let you take in
the beautiful views and usually accompanied by the home baking
of the day. If it is a gorgeous day then there is always the
table out on the decking!
