Terms and Conditions

Provisional bookings will be held for 1 week.

Please send an SAE if you require a paper based booking confirmation.

Bookings are secured when we are in receipt of a completed booking form and the first nights stay has been paid for in full.

Cancellations more than 21 days before stay - deposit not refunded. 21 days or less to 1st night of stay, 100% of booking payable. Please ensure you have an acknowledgement if emailing or leaving messages. Early departures are treated as less than 21 days notice - 100% payable. We recommend you take out adequate travel cancellation insurance. We will always try & re-fill your cancellation, but we generally do not fill "off the road".

The best time to arrive is 4-6pm when we can guarantee one of us will be home to greet guests. If arrival is to be before 4pm or after 6pm please discuss this with us at the time of booking e.g guests travelling by public transport & long distance travellers. Regrettably, we do not accept bookings where the arrival time is 9pm or later, as this tends to disturb the whole household.

We prefer payment by debit card and pass on the costs we incur with credit cards payments of 2%.

Please notify us of any food dislikes and intolerances when booking, along with any particular bedding requests.

Young children tend to disturb the peaceful and relaxed ambience therefore we do not accept children under 12 years old. We expect young persons staying here to behave in a polite, quiet and acceptable way.

As we have our own cat we do not accept guests' pets / animals into our home. Dogs are welcome to stay in your car, provided they are kept on a lead whilst on our property, restrained if car doors are left open and not exercised within our garden.

Groups are requested not to disturb the peace and quiet for other guests staying at Aurora. The living room & bedrooms are for the use of paying guests & residents of Aurora. We would respectfully ask that group members, not staying here, do not commandeer communal spaces & are sensitive to our other guests needs.

There is no smoking anywhere in the house - from 2011 we are requesting guests who wish to smoke go to the roadside. Guests smoking in the bedrooms will be requested to leave.

Subletting is not allowed.

All breakages and damage must be paid for.
