Dining Room

Winter 2007-8 saw us battling with the elements building this architect designed dining room. This addition has opened up the whole house, creating a light and spacious feel throughout, with greater orientation to the south.

This large room has floor to ceiling energy efficient glazing on 2 sides and gives the sensation of being part of the view. Ceiling fans mix the air on hot days and we have used the double doors surprisingly often so far.

From the companionable table you can see loch, island and mountains to the west and south. We generally put a detailed weather forecast on the breakfast table each day and talk through with guests their plans for the day. This is a great space to meet other guests and plan your trips/walks.

Surrounding the room with decking has given our guests access outside to enjoy the view and weather from patio table & chairs - be that at breakfast or later in the day.

The dining room at Aurora is bright and sunny with wonderful views to the mountains and Loch Shieldaig

Auroras dining room allows the sun to shine in and the views to be enjoyed
Aurora bed and breakfast has stunning views across Loch Shieldaig
Ben Shieldaig is a fine sight from the dining area of Aurora bed and breakfast
The new decking at Aurora bed and breakfast means that afternoon tea or early breakfasts can be taken al fresco!

"Absolutely super, perfect room & breakfast, stunning views, many thanks"
