Accommodation
A bed and breakfast is all about providing
"bed" and "breakfast". Suprising how often
B&B's get that wrong!
At Aurora we provide really comfortable, good
quality accommodation, a tasty homecooked breakfast, along
with many free extras that make travelling that bit easier.
There is a warm, home from home, friendly relaxed atmosphere
and we live in seperate ground floor accommodation to give
guests plenty of space.
More than just a welcoming
Highland B&B. We provide quaility & comfort with a
green ethos.
Our smart en-suite bedrooms have a contemporary,
luxurious feel with a nature inspired colour palette. Large
superking & king sized pocket sprung divan beds - firm
yet yielding ensure a comfortable night's rest. Duvets are
as light as a feather, but mould beautifully around your body
and give instant warmth (hypo-allergenic). Contemporary, sparkling
clean spacious en-suite shower rooms.
With the addition of a drying room and toilet
in a large entrance hall, guests can come in wet & muddy
from a good day out in the mountains, dis-robe & clean
up without worrying about trailing mess through the house.The
spacious archiect designed south facing dining room is glazed
floor to ceiling to take advantage of the views. A comfortable
snug gives guests an alternative area to sit & read or
team up with friends.
The first floor living room has some of the
best sunset views in the village and overlooks Shieldaig Island
and lower Loch Torridon. We are hoping to see the Aurora Borealis
here one day! Summer 10 we added a wood burning stove so we
are really cosy in chilly weather, with a low carbon output.
A large TV with DVD & satellite signal provides entertainment
along with a collection of DVD's, games & jigsaws. Satellite
is the only way of getting a more reliable TV signal here
- with the dish being some distance away to get the right
angle over the mountains.
There is wifi throughout the house. Via WiFi
you can use iplayer or borrow a DVD to play on your CD drive.
On the guests landing there is a computer sitting on a desk
(stools for 2) to allow unlimited free access to our broadband
internet.
